Guitarist (and a funny memory)

Here is a video that my dad showed me last night. This is Chuck Buser playing The Little Drummer Boy on the classic guitar...see the awesome way he puts the 5th and 6th strings together to make the snare drum sound? So Up!

Any way, I'm mostly posting this because I know (or knew) this guy. His son and I were in the same Sunday school class when we were younger; and all I really remember of M is that we almost always had the same length of hair...and that I remember on many occasions him pulling my pigtails and me pulling his ponytail back...good memories, eh?=)

Pass on the Good News!

Tiny Tim (as we have taken to calling him) his well and at home.

Praise be to God!

It seems that he was healed on the way there, and that the doctors were confused about why he was even there!

Thank you SO much to all of you who prayed for him, God counted them and made it so.

Let us praise Him!

More Info- Prayer Still needed!

So, I still don't know much, but I know know that at the time doctors didn't know where exactly the blood was coming from, they think either his mouth or throat...still waiting though.

I'll update when I know more...

Thank you so much again for the prayers.

Prayer Request!!!

So you all know about our new cousin Timothy, right? (See earlier post) Well I just got word that he needs prayer. I don’t have most of the details but I do know it has something to do with little Timothy bleeding inside, and is being sent to a children’s Hostile in Boise this morning.

So we (as in my whole family) would like to ask you to pray.
For Timothy, that the doctors could find out what is wrong, for them to deal with that with steady hands and clear minds, for my aunt (who is still recovering from the C-section) and my uncle (work is really taking him over, he’s in the AirForce). Please also pray for my grandmother who is there with the other 2 kids, my cousin do don’t know yet what is happening (seeing as the oldest is 6/7).

Thank you so much.

God Bless

Some of my Favorite Quotes

But first I would like to wish a Happy Birthday to sweet Cassie over at Inside My Mind. Go and tell her yourself!!!

The joy of writing
The power of preserving
Revenge of a mortal hand.
–Wislawa Szymborska

You cannot fully read a book without being alone. But through this very solitude you become intimately involved with people whom you might never have met otherwise, either because they have been dead for centuries or because they spoke languages you cannot understand. And nonetheless, they have become your closest friend, your wisest advisors, the wizards that hypnotize you, the lovers you have always dreamed of.
-Antonio Muñoz Molinas

A book is good if it permits, invites or even impels a good reading, one in which the reader has submitted himself to the text, entering the "made" experiences, and been taken beyond himself. While good books can be read badly, bad books cannot be read well. The question is not whether it is a good book, but whether the book compelled a good reading.
-CS Lewis

“When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at the college - that my job was to teach people how to draw. She stared at me, incredulous, and said, "You mean they forget?" “
~Howard Ikemoto

Stories are a way of teaching. Our own lives are mirrored and intensified by stories. We learn the connection between things by reading stories.
~Robert Coles

All I need is a sheet of paper And something to write with, and then I can turn the world upside down.
~Friedrich Nietzsche

Art is the triumph over chaos.
~John Cheever

There was a smell of Time in the air tonight…What did Time smell like? Like dust and clocks and people. And if you wondered what Time sounded like, it sounded like water running in a dark cave and voices crying and dirt dropping down upon hollow box-lids, and rain.
-Ray Bradbury

Creative imagination is more then mere invention. It is that power which creates, out of abstractions, life. It goes to the heart of the unseen, and puts that which so mysteriously hidden from ordinary mortals into the clear light of heir understanding…Writers of fantasy, more then any other writers expect poets…are able to evoke ideas and clothe them in symbols, allegory, and dream.

Slow Fade Music Video

This is a God Awesome song!
Take the time to watch it. It is also my dad's favorite song.

Here are the lyrics
Be careful little eyes what you see
It's the second glance that ties your hands as darkness pulls the strings
Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
It's a slow fade, it's a slow fade

Be careful little ears what you hear
When flattery leads to compromise, the end is always near
Be careful little lips what you say
For empty words and promises lead broken hearts astray

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day

The journey from your mind to your hands
Is shorter than you're thinking
Be careful if you think you stand
You just might be sinking

It's a slow fade when you give yourself away
It's a slow fade when black and white have turned to gray
Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid
When you give yourself away
People never crumble in a day
Daddies never crumble in a day
Families never crumble in a day

Oh be careful little eyes what see
Oh be careful little eyes what you see
For the Father up above is looking down in love
Oh be careful little eyes what you see

PS
It is now dumping snow here. And it's sticking.
*sigh* "Bother"

I have been Blessed

I have been blessed, beyond what I ever thought was possible.

God, thank you for family and friends.
I don't know what I would do without them.

I hope we never grow too old to have adventures, let us have them until we are hunched up and gray! Never let the wrinkles stop us, never let the aching bones. Never let these friendships fail.
I love ya guys!

"It's Frezzin' Here!"

It's been Super cold here right now! It hasn't snowed really yet but last night it got down to 5.f degrees! YikeO's

This morning I took a shower then walked down our driveway to get the paper, when I got back up to the house, I felt my hair and it was frozen! It melted about 5 minutes after being inside.

What's the weather like where you are?

My Goats + Breeding = “AWKWARD!”

Today I took one of my Oberhasli goats, Molly, to the breeders…
That doesn’t sound like much does it? But it was quite the experience!

(Tis Molly^, at a odd angle)
We finally got to the breeders (about a 75 minute drive) and got poor Molly out. It was then that we found out the “goat lady”(who we usually deal with) was out, so a guy named Jake came to help us. For those of you who know me well, you would guess my “enthusiastic” response to this. *wry grin*
He was around his mid 20’s and very “farmy”(if you know what I mean). But he seemed a little unsure of himself as he was picking out a buck. He finally brought out Bo…
We then knew for sure by her response that Molly was in heat, but we also found out…Bo…was too small… I can’t say a lot here, mainly because I don’t think you would want a vivid picture of poor Bo. So my mom went back into the barn with Jake to find a different, taller buck.
They came out, with an unnamed buck who instantly fell in love with Molly. Bucks do gross things when they are extremely and happily in love with a doe. For one, they, um, pee on their beards…and they jump around and stick their tongues out (while making a slight *grunting* sound)…I’m not sure I have ever seen a buck with its tongue *in* its mouth, now that I think about it.
But this goat, whom I shall call Romeo, Only wanted to talk to her, not do the business that we were paying for. And by ‘talk to her’, I mean, woo her, smile at her, pee for her, spit on her, lick her, and otherwise dance around her romantically. So after a while, Jake whined, “Well, I’d better help him.” You would not believe the reluctance in his voice. So with me holding Molly, and him, I’ll just say helping Romeo, I was thinking that this was getting a little on the embarrassing side of things. So I said so, “Wow, this is a little awkward,” looking at Jake. He laughed, a little on the nervous side, and replied, “Yeah, like Really awkward!”
Then Jake, mom and I all laughed. Hard. Then we also agreed, and thanked God that we aren’t goats!
Thank you Lord!!!

So any way, that’s what has happened today. My mother could more than likely tell this story better - I have tried. I hope you understand at least. =)

Gifted Hands (the movie)

I believe I just saw the best movie ever. It was called Gifted Hands.

It was the true story of Benjamin Solomon Carson Sr., M.D. (Read his life story HERE, its powerful) . A neurosurgeon with the belief in miracles.

I watched this movie with my whole family, but it is not rated so parents or older siblings should preview first before showing.

This movie was so powerful, tears may come to your eyes.
After I saw it, I remarked that I was surprised that they portrayed him as a praying man...but a little voice inside of me still wished that there could have more. But still...

I have been blessed by this film, and I wanted to share that.

Please consider watching it. =)

{I don't know what to write about. What do you think of this saying I thought up for the header of Random Jot Downs, A smile and Laughter are free and yet Priceless at the same time. Does that make sense? Tell my if it doesn't or does please. I would love your comments. My little, 8yo brother just found one of my knives that I had lost, my Remington. Yeah! I have it back at my side. Has anyone heard any good jokes lately??? Please share! I have a headache, what are with them?! My NaNo novel is going Really slowly. I have to write! But what? Is this long enough? Maybe a little longer. What is your favorite kind of jam? I think I like the old fashion strawberry the best.

You are a mischief-maker, aka wisen-heimer, prankster, wise guy, wise-acre, or hoaxster. But whatever they call you, you're the tops! Congratulations, and enjoy a good mischief book all to yourself!

And Thankfully no one got the C results,
IF YOU ANSWERED MOSTLY C)
You are a mook, other wise known as an ogre, goon, scalawag, or juvenile delinquent. Some people might call you violent or antisocial, but not to your face, of course. You might want to consider a career in dentistry or school counseling.

Now here is an award for all of you that did this quiz!!!

Also, this is a real book, The Pocket Guide to Mischief, by Bart King, all you that had mostly A's must pick this book up (may it be at your library of somewhere else! Really, you have to!) and if you have gotten mostly B's, C's or all in between...get it anyway!

Jare was mostly A's and I (Libby) was mostly B!

If any of you still wanted to do this, the quiz is still under here and the results you can check yourselves!

Have a totally awesome week!

Unfortunately, I can only do five, so if I didn't award you, its not because I don't think you're awesome. You all are!

No, but my aunt has…which has nothing to do with me do so riding one…

2. Have you ever eaten squid?

Ummm-afraid not. (*Whew*)

3. What is something crazy you have done with your best friend?

Something crazy…standing in front of a building and looking up at it, pointing and making “awed” faces (plus making passing cars stop and stare at us then speed up).
I don’t know! Have I actually done anything really crazy??!

4. Have you ever held an alligator?

Alligatorlizard, yes

5. Have you ever let a snake slither through your fingers?

Yes, and one bite me too. I named him Charlie XD

Well at the moment it is to play an instrument (anything, just let it be something!!!)

7. What is your dream vacation?

Sun, water; lay around time (Peach, take me to Hawaii!)

8. What is the funniest movie you have ever seen?

Kung Fu Panda…?

+++++

Calico Zak awarded Jare and me this one, Coolest Blog Award. This is for all my followers.

+++++
And the comic Zits one is for, Earwen, Saerwen, Myranda, Bethany, and anyone else who loves the comics ZITS!
+++++

And here is a tag, that I have gotten so many times I can't even remember anymore. I will be doing this one, Jare has opt out of it this time.
I think I have gotten this one from, Marion, TJ, Zak(?), Bracie and I know their was someone else.
"List twelve characters from any fandom, and then answer the following questions."
1. Gregor (From Suzanne Collins Underland chronicles)
2. Mulch (From Eoin Colfer’s Atemis Foul Series)
3. Benjamin Martin (*the Ghost*The Patriot movie)
4. Widge (from Gary Blackwood’s Shakespeare series)
5. Mr. Rochester (from Charlottes Bronte’s Jane Eyre)
6. Eugene from Adventures in Odyssey
7. Joriem (from the Beyond the Summer Land by LB Graham)
8. John (from Die Hard)
9. Wylla (from LB Grahams series)
10. Butler (from Eoin Colfer’s Artmes Foul series)
11. Aljeron (from LB grahams series
12. Alexa (from Patrick Carman’s Land of Elyon series)

1) Who would make a better college prof, 6 or 11?
Eugene! …I can’t see Aljeron stuck in a classroom all day
2) Do you think 2 is hot? How hot?
Ummm…well I think Mulch would love it if I said he was hot…but no-sorry.
3) 12 sends 8 out on a mission. What is it? Does it succeed?
Alexa sends John on a mission…it involves terrorist, guns and a holiday. Yes he did succeed…he always has.
4) What is or would be 9's favorite book?
Wylla’s favorite book. Something with romance in it. Maybe a Jane Austin novel.
5) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?
Mulch to Eugene, er. That is a hard one…I guess it would be Mulch to Eugene.
6) For some reason, 5 is looking for a roommate. Should (s)he share a studio apartment with 9 or 10?
Mr. Rochester with Wylla or Butler… I can’t see either. Mr. Rochester would more than likely fall madly in love with Wylla. And Butler would not last a day before knocking Mr. Rochester senseless.
7) 2, 7, and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Mulch, Joriem and Alexa, they go to Burger King (the only place that Mulch has not been thrown out of). They discuss the troubles that come along with being thrown into a prophecy/story/case. “The injustice of it all!”
8) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
OO! Benjamn and Butler! What would happen…I actually have no CLUE!
9) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would she/he get it back?
If Gregor stole something from John (which would be his wife or daughter) He would get it back by force himself, first asking the government and than after they tell him they have it under control he would just kill Gregor and it would be over. (poor Gregor!) It funny that these two were paired up, both are fighters/warriors. But only because, they do it for their families.
10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
Joriem and Alexa, Peace At Last
11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
Gregor and Widge. Gregor would need someone from his family in trouble and Widge would just need to be told.
12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
(Joriem) it would be great!
13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be? Having Benjamin show me how to shoot well, also knife throwing would be the most excellent awesomeness!
14) Does anyone on your friends list write or draw 11?
My friends list??? Aljeron is great, his scares are highly fun to sketch I guess
15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 and 5, which would it be?
If Mulch had to choose between Widge and Mr. Rochester I think he would pick Widge. But I have to think further on that.
16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
Butler would not shout, he would silently get some high-tect laser gun and shoot the whole field. Whole problem solved.
17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
(John) Maybe, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough (“Baby!”)
18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Gregor would stare at it then looks to Eugene with longing in his eyes. Alexa would smile, say she was fine, and take of sip of her tea. Gregor would get it in the end.
19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
No line, Mulch would just backfire in Butler’s face =) It has been done before.
20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
(Mr. Rochester) I don’t know the word for it, what is it when you have a wife(but she’s crazy, mentally mad) and than you almost marry someone else(when first wife is still living) ? I guess that would be it.
21) What is 6's secret?
That he never passed his Drivers Exam!
22) If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
that’s a hard one, either Aljeron or Wylla, I think it would be a tie…or it would have to matter on what was at the end of that destination.
23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?
Either Joriem or John…more than likely John, but on second thought, Joriem.
24) 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 4's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that s/he is actually a spy for 4. Meanwhile, 4 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wiseadvice of 5, they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest.
What title would you give this fic?

Gregor and Wylla reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by Widge’s sinister secret organization. Aljeron volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that he is actually a spy for Widge!
Meanwhile, Widge has kidnapped Alexa in an attempt to force their surrender. Follow the wise advice of Mr. Rochester; they seek out Benjamin, who gives them what they need to complete their quest.
I think something like “Black Powder&Chocolate” or “Crime Is Divine”I don’t know!
And I'm going to be lame right now and say that if you want this tag, then take it!
I'm to tried right now to think of anyone else...blah.

Okay, what would we do without Veggie Tale Silly Songs?
How did our parents grow up with out them?
Maybe that's why they give me the weird look whenever I suddenly break into a Silly song, along with dance steps. I don't know!

On of my favorites is I don't have a belly button. Come on, how great are they?

Now Belly Button is a great song...but my all time favorite is...

♫Larry: Got the munchies on the fateful night.
Around 8 o'clock. So I phoned in for a pizza for delivery
But I had a feeling something wasn't right' cause I waited for hours... no pizza

I set the table with a paper plate how would I know that it'd be late
it's taken so long, where could it be?

Pizza Angel please come to me
tomato sauce and cheese so gooey

Should I have ordered on the internet
Ready for dinner Now I’m not so sure
I think my soda's room temperature

(chorus)

And don't forget to add my favorite anchovies!
(peas: yeah yeah yeah continue)
I was concerned for my delivery
eight little pieces of heaven for me
Can't stop thinkin'
It will make me smile
when I taste my first Chicago style
Then my heart stopped
when I heard the door

I open the door in expectation
but it was the saddest sight I ever saw
I could still smell the sweet aroma of Deep- dish goodness
But the box.
Was empty
(delivery Jimmy)
The house number was broken so I couldn't find you
I was gettin' kinda hungry
so I... ate your pizza

NaNoWriMo

6 days into it(I started late) and I am surprised with the 14,560 words and counting. =)

(WARNING: I will be rambling in this post. There may be no real meaning in it's contexts)

But today...was different then the others. I had no idea's of how to go on with the chapter...headache and sleepy eyes and body didn't help either. So I ditched the keyboard (where I was just staring at the screen) and went out into the nippy cold November air. Most of the trees have dropped their colorful leaves while a few stranglers still hang on for the sweeping wind to knock them off their life grip and send them trialling to the ground.
It wasn't cold enough for me to worry about a heavy coat(or shoes for that matter, but that's just me). I graped the ol' sander and got to work on my book self. I sanded it...and some more. Until finally I applied the stain. It will take a few days to actually dry but I can't wait to see it. My hands were at work while my mind idled and thought of really...nothing. x)
I thought of the poem I wrote atop our church's swing set(in my cape and with my trusty comp book), thinking I should share it with all of you faithful readers.

Autumn’s Manners
Leaves are falling
Things are dying
Colors are rising
And the sun is set.
Winds are rushing
And leaping around
Autumn has arrived,
Summer has died.

Red noses and ruddy cheeks
Warm scarves in colors bright.
Cider and smoke,
Their essences combine,
Season the air with spice.

The sky is pale,
And the sun is withdrawn.
The moon is vivid,
And the air is snappish.
The colors are vibrant,
And the harvest is in at last.

The fairy leaves rejoices,
And the worms dig deeper,
The blue birds sing out,
And the squirrels’ flee around,
All as prior to before.

It doesn't flow all that well but I don't really mind, its one of my first poems by me.

Back to the NaNo writing,
So after I finished the bookshelf, I strolled about. Idea's started attacking me for my story of Shayla and Weylin.

So if you are having troubles, or just sick of sitting in front of a computer. Do something with your hands! Knit, carve, sketch, climb a tree, play with someone or something(preferable something smaller then you so they don't ask you any questions), or your favorite, no-brainier pass time! (That was not meant as something bad)

So I'm off with a comp book, cloak on, (shoes on, but don't tell anybody!) and preparing for a walk(run) through the frosty woods. Farewell! Write well! Relax.

Mighty To Save

I think I've done this one before but its still too good not to listen to.
Today my family is on worship duty. We have to leave any minuet to start.

This song is on my heart, not just because its one of the songs were singing but also its just a song of the Awesomeness of God.

Here are the lyrics for those of you who can't view the video or who just want to read it quick without waiting for the song to start.

Mighty to Save
Hillsong

Everyone needs compassion,
Love that's never failing;
Let mercy fall on me.
Everyone needs forgiveness,
The kindness of a Saviour;
The Hope of nations.
Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
So take me as You find me,
All my fears and failures,
Fill my life again.
I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in,
Now I surrender.
My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
Shine your light and let the whole world see,
We're singing for the glory of the risen King... Jesus (x2)
My Saviour, He can move the mountains,
My God is Mighty to save,
He is Mighty to save.
Forever, Author of salvation,
He rose and conquered the grave,
Jesus conquered the grave.
My Saviour, you can move the mountains,
You are mighty to save,
You are mighty to save.
Forever, Author of Salvation,
You rose and conquered the grave,
Yes you conquered the grave

NaNo WriMo plus more!

Who would have known that I would join the National Novel Writing Month!
I didn't.
I have always loved to read-which gives me the urge to make stories that others can read and enjoy like I have enjoyed other books.

I am doing the NaNo (you can find me by my nickname "Libby Lo"); I hope I finish my story-but it will not be the end of the world if I don't.

( I don't want that^ to happen!)

Yep...or at least I'm told.

Also, you may have (or not) noticed that there are 2 playlists now. The gray one is still the Random Jot Downs one but the green one on the top is mine (mine, mine, MINE!). They are not on auto start. Anyone is welcome to listen to the green one, which I have on there for me to listen while I am writing on the computer.

I like this one^

The Meanings of Prayer Part 2

My first answer was this.

I would think that prayer is almost a comfort for us. It can humble us, make us want to praise him every second of every day. When we pray, and what we’re praying for comes about, we praise God. But when it doesn’t come around, I would hope that Christians will say, “It’s just not Gods time or his will.” I have said that, but I have also been a grumpypants about it too sometimes. Why? I’m human.
But you know, later on, I know that maybe that wouldn’t have worked, or now I would not that here/there.

I talked to my mom about it and she turned around and said over her shoulder, “I know someone who can answer that.”
I had no clue what she meant =}
She handed me the book Now, That’s A Good Question by RC Sproul.
I looked up prayer in the index and started reading. I like reading rather then debating in real life. With a book you can stop, think about it for as long as you want, and then answer it in your head, from there you can polish it up and reform it to a way someone can understand and make a dimes worth of sense. In real life, there is no “pause” button (regretfully).

So here are some of RC’s answers that helped me.

Is God confused, stumbling through all the different options-“should I do this? Should I not do that?” And does he decide upon one course of action and then think “Well, maybe that’s not a good idea after all”, (that would be Lib) and change his mind? Obviously God is omniscient: God is wise. God is eternal in his perspective and in his full knowledge of every thing. So we don’t change God’s mind. But prayer changes things. It changes us.
And there are times in which God waits for us to ask him in the glorious process of bringing his will to pass here on earth.
So I read this in the book and said, "Hey that's what I said, only he said it in a more muter manner. Oh well."
I still want to hear your feedback, Thank you to all who have responded and taken up this question.

PS
There is more to come.

The Meanings of Prayer

Does prayer change things?
If God is all sovereign; he sees and knows the future, why pray?
Does it even matter?

Here are some questions that have gone through my mind for as long as I can remember. But of late it has come from the back of my thoughts to the front row. They have been pushing on me. I talked to a friend about those; we shared our thoughts and opinions on the subject (which I really enjoyed Lèrowen!). Then I talked to one of my parents, and then she directed me to talk to RC Sproul (his book I mean).
I feel like I can answer those questions for my self now, and its very comforting to do just that.

But I want to hear your views.
Debate it, consider, read and think about it.
I have my post (which has some help from RC Sproul) scheduled for tomorrow (11-5-09) at 10:35 AM
see it there.

Unfarwell!

Hiya! I'm back(but you didn't even know I was gone did you?)!

I was thinking about how I would say..."I'm back".

1) "I'm Back!"
2) "My Travels have cease!"
3) "I have returned!"
4) "My Journey has ended!"

But done of those really flowed for me. So I decided to go with Charlotte Brontë's way that she put so in her book, Jane Eyre.

"I amUnfarwell!"
(Yes I know ^this makes no sense)
Okay, she didn't say that. But she did have her characters "unopen" the door...

By Jerry Scott and Jim Borgman

( You may have to click on them to see)

Here is a sort'a clip of Mr. Scott and Mr. Borgman.
{Jerry Scott and Jim BorgmanJerry Scott and Jim Borgman's popular comic "Zits", the story of a teen and his parents trying to coexist (with humorous results), debuted in 1997 and has been running strong ever since. Pulitzer Prize winner Borgman collaborated with Scott after working as a cartoonist with the Cincinnati Enquirer, while Scott continued work on his other popular comic, "Baby Blues." Both minds behind "Zits" carry on multiple projects in addition to their collaborative work, which have earned them both multiple recognitions both together and on their own. The comic is now syndicated in over 1,300 newspapers nationwide, and has won the National Cartoonists Society's top prize for Newspaper Comic Strip in both 1998 and 1999. }
