19) What makes blogging so much fun for you?  ... I don't know... really. Why do I do this any way???
I guess for the reason of trying to make people smile or laugh while in front of their computers. (I hope you guys do feel a little better sometime with reading this blog)
20) You're a turtle who is up against a rabbit in the biggest race in history. What is the turn-out?
I run my fastest and pray that God helps me out!

I am asking all bloggers to pray for a little newborn baby, whose name is PJ. This morning his parents brought him into the hospital with a bad case of jaundice, and now he is in the NICU for blood transfusions. Please, I implore you to pray hard for little PJ’s health and for peace of mind for his adoring family.

The Book Tag!!!

I've seen this tag around and really liked it - a way to share and all (and not personal at all! So mawhahaha! You still don't know my deepest secret!). Thanks so much Antonia for tagging me!
The rules are to grab a book (the nearest book to you), turn to page 123, go to the fifth sentence and post the next five sentences:

Here goes!

In the last week of February 1994, the CIA was jolted by the verification of its long-held mole fears. Someone inside the agency had been directly divulging facts about the CIA's operations for years. He was Aldrich Ames, a longtime employee whose father, Carleton, had also been a CIA counterspy official in the 1950s. Fatefully, Aldrich had been one of Yurchenko's debriefers in 1985.

This is from (honestly the closest book to me) CODES, ciphers, secrets and cryptic communication by Fred B. Wrixon.

Oh, and I tag ANYONE who has ever slipped, tripped or fell in public (so you must do it if you have). =D

I have been Blessed

I have been blessed, beyond what I ever thought was possible.

God, thank you for family and friends.
I don't know what I would do without them.

I hope we never grow too old to have adventures, let us have them until we are hunched up and gray! Never let the wrinkles stop us, never let the aching bones. Never let these friendships fail.
I love ya guys!

Are You a Mischief Maker Quiz???

I found this quiz, and thought it was really funny. Answer the questions, send it to me in a comment and on Monday I will answer them all. I will not post until then. That way anybody can do it!

Your results should be what you would actually do, don’t answer something wish you would do(but are too shy) or just doing because it’s a quiz and not real life.

Have fun !

1) Walking along the beach, you see two children building a sand castle. You...
a) Introduce yourself and offer to help dig the moat and swat away errant volleyballs.
b) Introduce yourself as "King Sandy" and spend the rest of the day constructing a huge sandcastle right next to theirs.
c) Shout, "Viking attack!" and run through their castle.

2) You get home and are looking to relax. You are most likely to...
a) Gather the neighborhood kids together to put on a play for the senior citizens.
b) Open the book The Pocket Guide to Mischief and take notes.
c) Gather the neighborhood kids together to organize a fund-raiser for you.

3) You watch as a neighbor walks his dog past your house. The dog leaves a huge pile of poop in your yard. The neighbor than walks off without picking it up. You...
a) Go clean it up.
b) Put it in an Easter basket and leave it on the neighbor's porch.
c) What you do is so horrible, I can't write it. Lets just say it involves dog poop, a spatula, and a slingshot.

4) Splat! Your nemesis has just thrown a water balloon at you. Your first response is to...
a) Say, "Ha ha! Good one!"
b) Begin making plans for a water blimp to destroy your Nemesis with.
c) Sharpen your bayonet collection while muttering, "Vengeance."

5) You're a girl. (If you are not really a girl, pretend. If you are a girl, continue being one.) A guy you don't like much ask, "What would it take for me to become your boyfriend?" Your response:
a) "You're very nice, but I'm afraid it's just not possible."
b) "If every other guy in town got leprosy, I'd consider it."
c) Would include laughter and pointing.

6) You just bought some socks. The clerk says, "Can I help you with anything else?" You say:
a) "No thank you."
b) "Well, I do have this rash on my arm that's been itching like crazy."
c) "Are you saying I need help?"

7) Your blood type is:
a) B positive!
b) B negative
c) O I'm going to knock you into next week.

8) Your ideal job would be one where you could...
a) Feed the hungry and cloth the...people who need clothes.
b) Write a book all about Mischief.
c) Release starving leopards into the petting zoo.

9) You see your mean neighbor throw a rock at a squirrel. You decide to...
a) Give the squirrel a nut the size of a cantaloupe to make up for it.
b) Call your neighbor from a public phone and tell him that you're calling from the zoo about a escaped wolf that is prowling in his neighborhood.
c) Release starving leopards into his kitchen.

10) You're at the "15 Items or less" line at the supermarket, and the person in front of you has a shopping car stuffed with items. You...
a) Smile pleasantly at the clerk and roll your eyes.
b) Count loudly as each item goes on the conveyer belt: "18! 19! 20!"
c) Lay on the conveyer belt in protest.

11) You see a poorly parked car that needs to be washed. You...
a) Walk past it, whistling happily.
b) Look around to make sure you're alone, and than you use your finger to write, "I'm old and dirty" on the window.
c) Hijack a tow truck, tow the car, and leave it in a large body of water.

12) You accidentally belch while eating in a crowded restaurant. You...
a) Apologize to everyone in the restaurant. Then you leave a big tip and quietly exit.
b) Tell everyone, "In many cultures, that's how you sat it was a good meal. Too bad this isn't one of them!"
c) Lean forward, saying, "That belch perfectly covered the sound of me farting."

Be Honest! =P

And again, I will post your results on Monday. See you then!

PS
Any one can do this, even if you don't have a blog. Anonymous's too(though please give a name so you know your results).

The Meanings of Prayer

Does prayer change things?
If God is all sovereign; he sees and knows the future, why pray?
Does it even matter?

Here are some questions that have gone through my mind for as long as I can remember. But of late it has come from the back of my thoughts to the front row. They have been pushing on me. I talked to a friend about those; we shared our thoughts and opinions on the subject (which I really enjoyed Lèrowen!). Then I talked to one of my parents, and then she directed me to talk to RC Sproul (his book I mean).
I feel like I can answer those questions for my self now, and its very comforting to do just that.

But I want to hear your views.
Debate it, consider, read and think about it.
I have my post (which has some help from RC Sproul) scheduled for tomorrow (11-5-09) at 10:35 AM
see it there.

Unfarwell!

Hiya! I'm back(but you didn't even know I was gone did you?)!

I was thinking about how I would say..."I'm back".

1) "I'm Back!"
2) "My Travels have cease!"
3) "I have returned!"
4) "My Journey has ended!"

But done of those really flowed for me. So I decided to go with Charlotte Brontë's way that she put so in her book, Jane Eyre.

"I amUnfarwell!"
(Yes I know ^this makes no sense)
Okay, she didn't say that. But she did have her characters "unopen" the door...

Strangely...I like it. =)

Rowena's Wardrobe

Here is a better pic of Rowena's Cloak. I made this in mind of the Maid Marian posting. I don't know what kind of fabric it is because my sister got it for me at GoodWill(love her!). I think its meant for upholstery though. Which makes my laugh!
Its half cycle and has a pointed hood(love those!). I got these small, brass clasps from Joann's, I was so happy that I found them. Here is a pic of them(I didn't have one so Thank you Ophe for posting one!)
This one of the dresses(And really the only one where I am not running around in it too). It was from a pattern that I have made many dresses from. This time though was the quickest. It took me about 2 hours in all. I didn't go by the pattern very much, only the main body parts were from the pattern. The sleeves, an neck line were my own idea(and I am very happy with)
Here is a very blurry pic of the back. It was a little to big so I made this belt thingy which I would consider doing again and again(it really makes the gown look finish and historical too)
And one of the 6 cloaks/capes that I have made. This one I made for Bracie.

Timber Wolves Football Game Score

The Wolves have victory again!
Score was yesterday 8 to 26.
We have the best couches ever. They yell and all that but they really care for us too. Its about our future.

Here are some more pics from the game before last(yesterday it was just pouring down bucket fulls of rain)
My number is number 78 and I play both defence and offence tackle. Its hard and great at the same time. Each game I come home battered and bruised but I still love it!

(You can sort'a see me in this one)
Until the next game!

Happity Birthday Ophelia!

(this is SO belated, but oh well)

♫ For she's a jolly good fellow, for she's a jolly good fellow, for she's a jolly goooood Feellllooooww! That nobody can define! ♫
;) *wink*
So I have the privilege of knowing "Ophelia" personally, and I totally love her to pieces.
Here are some quotes I had planed on putting in a card for her for her special day...but I forgot the whole card thing in general.=)
Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show that the people who have the most live longer!

Growing older is mandatory; growing up is optional

Happy fifteen birthday...for the fifteenth TIME alright!

Happy 15 birthday...some insight from someone who knows. This is when the fun begins!
(Ophie and Libby)

Love ya girl!!!

The Door Within

(Interrupting our Duct tape week, I bring you a post with nothing to do with duct tape)
*****************
I recently finished The Door Within by Wayne Thomas Batson for the second time.
I first read this when I was 12yo/13yo (can't remember which one), and I was entirely enthralled by it. It was really the first fantasy novel I had ever read.
The telling of the Mortiwraith Falon captivated me. And I fell in love with all the characters.
If you have not read any of Wayne Batson’s books then I implore you to do so now, or in the very near future!
Here is his blog. And here is where you can get his books for a great price on Amazon.

Also, Mr. Batson and Mr. Christopher Hopper recently paired up to write a book together. (I can's wait to read it!!!)

There is also a contest/game going on right now at Batsons blog.
I joined it...will you?
