Ahhgg! My house is swallowing up my stuff!

Aye, my house is swallowing my stuff up. It’s like when the dog eats dad’s slippers – only this horror house doesn’t leave behind the trail of tuffs of cotton, thread, and fabric around the hallways – this house just gulps it down without leaving a single trace. And I don’t know what sort of “exchanged” it would be willing to make for me to get back my music binder (with like 3 sheets of music - but I still need it!) My library book that I still haven’t been able to finish (seeing as I can’t find it) and my right foot work boot (which I really need, as we are starting to build and I would like to have boots that nails won’t go through (I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to pull nails out of my feet – it’s seriously horrid).

But I don’t know – are any other houses “gulping” down possessions? – Or it is it just my gosh'n'golly house?

Gifted Hands (the movie)

I believe I just saw the best movie ever. It was called Gifted Hands.

It was the true story of Benjamin Solomon Carson Sr., M.D. (Read his life story HERE, its powerful) . A neurosurgeon with the belief in miracles.


I watched this movie with my whole family, but it is not rated so parents or older siblings should preview first before showing.

This movie was so powerful, tears may come to your eyes.
After I saw it, I remarked that I was surprised that they portrayed him as a praying man...but a little voice inside of me still wished that there could have more. But still...

I have been blessed by this film, and I wanted to share that.

Maybe that's why they give me the weird look whenever I suddenly break into a Silly song, along with dance steps. I don't know!

I really like comics, but I also like really big books. I like to doodle silly charterers and such and I enjoy the classics.

Any way, just wanted to share some of my favorite comics and such. ZITS is my by-far favorite(the one below).

Marian the Maiden (and some Robin)

Some of the legends say:
In the ballad, Robin Hood is Marian’s childhood sweetheart. Upon hearing that Robin has been outlawed, Marian dresses herself as a page boy and heads towards Sherwood Forest. She encountered Robin, who is also disguise, and nether recognized each other. They fight and fight. Both a fine match until the standstill. Then Robin invites this disguised stranger to join the merry men, they both realize their true identities. Robin and Marian were married a short time later.

Another legends says that Robin is outlawed during his marriage ceremony to Lady Marian Firzwater. He pledged not to marry her until his honor is restored or when King Richard is back.
Some tales maker her as a skilled fighter, as well as being a match for the merry men in wilderness survival.

Sometimes Marian is an active member of the band, a skilled archer and fighter. Other times, her true affiliations remain hidden and Marian stays in Nottingham, spying on the sheriff’s plans.

Some stories have Marian dying before Robin, either from disease or being killed in battle. In other tales, she out lives Robin and retires to a nunnery.


And I don't think that Errol Leslie Flynn looks at ALL feminine!

I would more say that Jonas Armstrong is not my idea of a Robin Hood figure. He remains me of a teenage guy, slouchy pants and all. In the few pics and Youtupe videos I have seen I haven't really been impressed.

Maid Marian Has Arrived...Or Rather Rowena!

OK, I just can't pretend to be Marian (I'm just nothing like her!)...So I now dub myself Rowena, Marian's handmaiden. Who has no love but her fury creatures, her bow and dagger.
Here I am, in my just made Elven moltedgreen cloak, traveling through Sherwood forest.

My bow is always at my side, I could never leave my camp site with out it (Yes that's blood. Gosh Oph, you Dirk is sharp and no I don't have a arrow nocked, Keilah wouldn't let me point it at her *pout*)
Rowena in the meadow hidden within Sherwood( Some one had just said, "Lib, look dramatic! Like Legoles!" My response...
So then I do the classic, "Yeah right, I'll act like mister..." *in thick, but low and deep English* "The horses are string...night is falling...trouble is near." hehehe

"Lib, OK stop! "
"But, but look yonder! A giant bird has fallen prey to another giant bird..." *Blank look* "What are the odds?" ... "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!"

This one is of Rowena with her bow at night, she has just fallen upon the sheriffes and his men's camp site and is wondering whether to continue in and atack or move off to warn Robin.

Rowena, hearing footsteps approach, raises her dagger in the time of dander.

So this is my costume(or rather one of them). I am wearing a brown peasant style dress, black leggings(which you can't see as well as the felt boots) with a long sleeve green shirt and sage green cloak I made for that shoot. My hair is half up, blown thoroughly by the wind(very windy day) and I am wearing my leaf earrings.

Robin and Marian...

A perfect match.


Well its Maid Marian weekend postathon(That’s not a word just so you know. I’m just using it)!

I still like Disney's Robin Hood the best, but that might be because thats one of the only ones I've seen.



I really like this song and I love it that Disney put Robin and Marian as foxes. Its just perfect!
