In the ballad, Robin Hood is Marian’s childhood sweetheart. Upon hearing that Robin has been outlawed, Marian dresses herself as a page boy and heads towards Sherwood Forest. She encountered Robin, who is also disguise, and nether recognized each other. They fight and fight. Both a fine match until the standstill. Then Robin invites this disguised stranger to join the merry men, they both realize their true identities. Robin and Marian were married a short time later.
Sometimes Marian is an active member of the band, a skilled archer and fighter. Other times, her true affiliations remain hidden and Marian stays in Nottingham, spying on the sheriff’s plans. I would more say that Jonas Armstrong is not my idea of a Robin Hood figure. He remains me of a teenage guy, slouchy pants and all. In the few pics and Youtupe videos I have seen I haven't really been impressed.
....just my point of view. =)

Interesting point of view :)
Thanks for sharing all those lovely pictures! That drawing is just sweet, as are the plates. Do you know where you found your images? I would love to see larger versions!
I've loved Errol Flynn for ages but Jonas Armstrong in the BBC show is my favorite. I like the thought of a young Robin, who was at the crusades for a few years and comes home to find his childhood sweetheart kind of ticked that he left her. ;) The whole production is definitely modern, but I think that's one of the things that's fun about it.
Cool!
I don't think he looks feminine either.....
Just weird.

Hey, guys. I have tagged y'all, and I think that y'all are already working on it. Anyway, it also has an award attached to it (I attached it myself :) ).
I really liked watching Errol Flynn's version of Robin Hood, although it's obvious that it isn't very modern ;)
Nice post.
