Knives + Video

So some of you may know that I like knives. I have a saying that I tell people if they ask me. I won't just blurt it out.
But getting to the reason of this post I have been thinking a lot about knives and such. About throwing them, doing tricks with them and all that.
I have always loved this site (Cold Steel Knives)because it has great knives, info, and it tells you the history of them too.
But the biggest reason is because they do videos of them.

I have been trying to save money(kinda hard when you don't have a job) for some throwing blades. I am looking into these.

Here's another one that would be fun to have.

I do want to show another really cool video about these guys juggling knives...but I can't find it right now. Maybe tomorrow.

Later and good fighting! (Er... I mean playing! Er...I mean... never mind)

Knife of the Week #1

I’ve decided to (hopefully) post a different knife at the beginning of each week
This one here is called a Swedish Barrel Knife. This is a small version of the standard ones, which are usually about 4” when closed.

As you can see mine is about 1” long.
They can range to many sizes, I have even heard of one that is around a foot long, but I have not seen it, so please don’t go by this.

The knife is folded inside of the barrel, which makes it a compact knife.
When you pull it out of the barrel, you fold it out like so (see above picture).

You then slide it back into the barrel, making it easier to handle.

I like to wear mine around my neck on a leather string.
I would have to say that this is my favorite of all my knives, because it has my heritage in it. I got this from my Papa on my 14th birthday, and from that day I have always had it on.
