I didn't want this to happen. I told myself when I got up I would not fall for any pranks.
But I did.
Ask most people if I'm gullible, and they would say no.
But for today my brother was the perfect actor and I, the perfect victim.
4:20 pm.
I’m lounging reading a new book that I got last night, when suddenly Jare (who else) comes running in yelling, “Libby, you left the iron on in the Landry room and the ironing board caught fire!”
Why shouldn’t I believe him I ask you?
I DID use the iron that afternoon, and I AM known to forgetting to turn it off.
So as I jump up, picturing the board in flames, wondering when it’ll catch on to our clothes and thinking ‘why isn’t that smoke alarm going off?’
Now picture me running into the Landry room and seeing… nothing.
No leaping flames, no smoke, no nightmares of having to tell Dad what happened.
Then I hear it. The loud, horrible sound of Jare cracking up. I slowly turn to face him.
And I only said two words.
“You're DEAD!”
He runs off, still laughing-but also yelling. Because he knows I’m right behind him.
So that’s what happened this afternoon on Aprils Fools Day.
Did you pull a prank?
Or where you on the other side of it, like me.
Tell me so I don’t feel alone in this.

Haha!
Some friends at TeenPact tried reeeeaally hard to get me---but I'm afraid it didn't work very well for them. They gave me a peice of cake and sang happy birthday (even though it was april fools, the day before my b-day). I was a little puzzled, but looked gleeful as I blew out the candle and took my first bite. Their faces were confused as I announced it was delicious, and they drifted away, a little shocked. One of the pranksters, Ben, soon came rushing back, crying-- "You don't have to eat any more, Grace. It was just for fun!" Turns out that the cake was laden w/ salt and pepper, and those guys thought that I was choking it down, just to be polite, but I must've had a lucky salt free bite!
Thanks for commenting Bracie!
Remember that Sunday a few years back that was on April fools day?
How Oph made those two cakes, and we came in from playing and you gave me a slice saying you saved it for me. I was thinking at the time, 'Why did she save me some?
I don't really like chocolate cake, but I'll try it to be nice.'
Thats what I was thinking as I bit in to it, and you said, kinda worried kinda excited 'do you like it?'
And as I nod my head yes I finally taste the Ketchup 'filling'.
BLUH!
Ketchup and chocolate do NOT go together Ophelia!!
Gross, gross, gross
BTW that was me Lib
