I Need You

Worship.
When you think of that seven-letter word...what does it make you think of?
Maybe it makes you think of a quiet place, where all you can hear are the voices.
Or maybe it makes you think of a loud concert hall, everyone screaming and praising in their own way.
Me, I think of a small room, where I am all alone, yet not at the same time. A place where there many people around me...but I can't see them. I can only hear them. I sing...and yet it feels as if it’s not coming from my mouth...but from somewhere deep inside me.
On the Gleanings trip I took, some of you may have seen my little post about it; I mainly talked about what happened. I talked about the work and about the people. But I didn't talk about the most important thing that happened to me there.
I learned how to worship.
And not just singing, or lifting my hands up...but falling down. Crying and shouting. Jumping and laughing.
For my God.
I used to almost dislike worship. Come on, it could get boring sometimes. And you just look the people around you and mumble the words. Your mind wonders and you end up not singing at all. That's what I did.
At first I was afraid...Are they all looking at me? I know I would if there was someone in front of me doing this. I felt nervous and exposed. Have you ever felt like that?
I let it go, and it left me.
God is good, is he not?
God took a shy, and not-sure-of-herself-girl and made her sing in the front. Made her cry in front of people(which is her deepest fear). Made her into His.
This is, in a way hard to share.
So now I would like to challenge you, to worship today. Really worship. Don't think of anyone around you. Think only of Him. For He is the only one worthy of any praise.
